Designed for: Natural Materials; an economical solution, cotton, hessian, rope, sisal, woven cotton tapes & belts, canvas welding screens, tarpaulins and lighter weight cardboard.
Flamebar semi-durable flame retardants offer a convenient effective way of making a wide variety of materials safer from fire and thus conform to fire regulation standards. The treatment is intended for interior use, will withstand dry cleaning and will remain effective until washed out. It is suitable for materials such as curtains and furnishing fabrics which are not washed frequently.
Flamebar solutions come ready to use by spraying or dipping. They are harmless to use and have negligible odour. Since materials are specific in the way they ignite and burn they each require different combinations of chemicals selected to work at or below ignition temperature to prevent burning and smouldering. Apart from retarding combustion, Flamebar solutions will stop smouldering and afterglow and often reduce smoke emission.
Coverage depends on absorbency and thickness of the material but approximations are: Heavy weight/medium wt. fabric 4-6 square metre per litre. Light weight fabric 7-9 square metre per litre. Wood Products 4-6 square metre per litre. Paper/thin card 10 square metre per litre.
