Traditional Creosote Jet Black or Brown (original, not substitute) containing Coal Tar.
  • Since July 2003 it is only available for professional users, if in doubt use Creosote Substitute.
  • Preservatives are registered with the UK Health & Safety Executive and contain a biocide proven to be effective against certain insects and rotting fungae.
  • Conforms to BSS 144 Type 3 and renowned for its wide kill spectrum protecting external timbers against insect and fungal attack.
  • Treatments are not HSE registered but may protect timber in other ways using repellant waxes or just primarily to colour and decorate.
  • Use Creosote on Barns, Horse Boxes, Loose Boxes, Out Buildings, Workshops etc.
  • Professional users should download the MSDS for health and safety advice and for your COSHH records.
  • Available in 25 litres and 205 litre drums.
  • Coverage approx. 3-5 m2 per litre.
  • Due to the cost of crude oil prices Traditional Creosote have risen sharply since 2008.
