EdgeGrip has been developed as a cost effective, long term solution to help with the requirements as laid down by the Disability Discrimination Act Part III and in particular, the sections relevant to the partially sighted .
The Act, in essence, requires that all stairs, accessed by members of the public, should have a contrasting coloured nosing fitted to all step edges and in addition such stair nosings should provide a slip resistant surface.
The Act, which covers stair nosings is now fully enforceable.

All stair nosings have a hard wearing grit top surface for extreme slip resistance.
