Jotun Penguard Express B12 is a two component MIO (micaceous iron oxide) pigmented amine curing epoxy suitable for use as primer, mid coat or a finish coat.

Jotun Penguard Express B12 is a two component MIO micaceous iron oxide pigmented amine curing epoxy. This fast drying coating is suitable for use as a primer, mid coat or a finish coat. Or with the correct film build Penguard B12 is suitable as a one coat system for normal atmospheric environments. Penguard Express can be applied at temperatures below freezing.

As a Highways Agency Approved coating, this Jotun Express B12 paint product is suitable for use on UK Infrastructure projects, such as bridges, and highways furniture, such as lighting columns, sign posts, as well as railings and bollards. Jotun Penguard is suitable to be applied to prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel and aluminium.

Application

Jotun Penguard Express B12 can be applied using airless spray, however a paint brush may be used, but only for stripping and for small areas. A clean, smooth finish is desirable and by using the spray gun, this can be achieved. With a good level of flexibility and excellent abrasion resistance Jotun Penguard highways agency coating is a product with great protective properties and dries to offer a flat appearance. Penguard has a theoretical coverage rate of 5.8m2 per litre when applied using an airless spray gun.

Surface and Environment

Jotun Penguard is suitable to be applied to prepared carbon steel galvanised steel and aluminium. Not only is Penguard, from Jotun, suitable for application to metal, but it has also been formulated for application to concrete. This versatile paint product is ideal for use in freezing conditions and dries at cold temperatures too. For all external applications, you needn't worry about waiting for a warm day.
