Bradite Mordent Solution is used as an application to galvanised steel to modify the metal surface allowing improved adhesion of subsequent coatings.
Galvanised steel surface should be cleaned & degreased using Bradite Degreaser TD39 or steam cleaning, before application of Bradite Mordant solution TM38. Apply evenly using a soft brush and allow approximately 20 minutes to react. Reaction progress is indicated with a colour change to an even dark grey or black.
After the reaction has taken place the surface should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. Treated surfaces should then be allowed to thoroughly dry prior to all subsequent painting operations.
