PPG Amerlock Sealer, SigmaCover 400 Sealer has been designed to penetrate deeply into the substrate offering a highly protective coating for sealing concrete and offers rust inhibiting protection to steel surfaces.
Amerlock Sealer, formerly PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer 640 sealer and Amerlock Sealer is a two component surface tolerant sealer that contains epoxy resins and rust penetrating properties. PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer has been designed to penetrate deeply into the substrate offering a highly protective coating for sealing concrete surfaces.
PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can be used as a primer for concrete substrates as well as providing a surface tolerant coating for lower grade of steel preparation. PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can actually be used as a primer for most surfaces and can be overcoated with most types of coatings to offer users a full protective system.
PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can be applied simply by mixing the two components together; mix the base and hardener together using a mechanical mixer (this usually takes at least 3 minutes) until thoroughly mixed. PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can then be applied to the surface using brush, roller or airless spray to achieve a clear finish that will not change the surface appearance. SigmaCover 400 Sealer has a theoretical coverage rate of 25m2 per litre, available in 5 and 20 litre containers.
Surface and Environment
PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can be used in a variety of different environments to seal a surface in preparation for an overcoating. PPG SigmaCover 400 Sealer can be used internally or externally due to its solvent free nature, and is highly suited to use on steel and concrete, with excellent flow and wetting properties.
