Hempel Hemudur Finish 48582 is a thick 2 pack epoxy coating, with good mechanical and chemical resistance. Suitable for bunds and floors at risk of chemical spill.

Best Uses

Hempel Hemudur Finish 48582 is a protective and decorative coating for use on concrete, cement and asphaltic floors in workshops, factories, hospitals, warehouses, parking, tunnels, etc. and other properly primed and sealed surfaces.

Hempel Hemudur Finish 48582 can also be applied on walls when a water-based chemically resistant and easily cleaning coating is required (schools, hospitals, etc). Suitable for applying internally.

Application

Preparation For New Surfaces
Concrete floors:

• Must be fully set (28 days minimum) and dry. Eliminate the grout of setting and any efflorescence mechanically by machine grit blasting, milling or grinder. Remove dust by vacuum cleaning.

Concrete walls:

• Must be fully set (28 days minimum) and dry. Remove the setting grout and any efflorescence with water jet and abrasive or water jet at high pressure (200 Kg/cm² approx.). If abrasive has been used, wash with fresh water to eliminate residues. Let dry.

Plaster, bricks and others:

• Remove dust and bad adhering materials.

Maintenance

Concrete floors:

• Remove dirt, oil, grease, badly adhering old paint and other contaminants using cleaning agent Hempel’s Navi Wash 9933S (see technical data sheet). Restructure cracks, holes and coke to find solid material. Remove dust by vacuum cleaning. Repair them with a mortar consisting of the mixture of Hempadur Resin SF 35960 or Hemudur CEM 479E0 mixed with silica sands type Hempafloor Silica F 69040 and Hempafloor Silica M 69050, in proportion 1 : 1 parts by weight.

Concrete walls, plaster, bricks, etc:

• Remove dust, old and bad adhering paint and other superficial contaminants with suitable neutral bio-degradables or lightly alkaline detergents and fresh water if required. Let it dry.

Seal the surface with Hemudur Sealer 18460. Or according to specification. Apply two or more coats of Hemudur Finish 48582.
