International Intersmooth 7460HS is a high solids, high performance, TBT free, low friction, self polishing copolymer (SPC) antifouling.
Best Uses
International Intersmooth 7460HS is specifically designed for Deep Sea Vessels. For use at Maintenance & Repair. This product is particularly suitable for use where solvent emissions need to be reduced.
Application
Use in accordance with the standard Worldwide Marine Specifications. All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure fresh water wash or fresh water wash, as appropriate, and remove all oil or grease, soluble contaminants and other foreign matter in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
MAJOR REFURBISHMENT
Intersmooth 7460HS SPC should always be applied over a recommended primer coating scheme. The primer surface should be dry and free from all contamination, and Intersmooth 7460HS SPC must be applied within the overcoating intervals specified (consult the relevant product data sheet). Areas of breakdown, damage etc. should be prepared to the specified standard (eg. SSPC-SP10) and primed prior to the application of Intersmooth 7460HS SPC.
REPAIR
Application of Intersmooth 7460HS SPC over self:
Clean the entire area with close high pressure fresh water washing using a fan-jet lance held close to the surface (3,000 p.s.i., 211 kg/cm²) as soon as the vessel enters dock and before it dries out. Consult the recommended anticorrosive primer system and apply Intersmooth 7460HS SPC within the overcoating interval specified for the primer (consult the relevant primer data sheets).
