Johnstones Stopmould is a water based matt internal emulsion paint specially formulated to resist mould growth for areas prone to intermittent damp conditions.
Johnstones Stopmould is suitable for interior use on new and aged plaster, wall boards, concrete, cement rendering, block work and brickwork. Ideal for the protection of internal areas at risk of mould growth such as basements, external walls, conservatories and utility rooms.
Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from loose or flaking matter. Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Wear a suitable face mask when dry sanding. Surfaces already contaminated with mould growth should be treated with Johnstone’s Sterilisation Wash as directed.
Stir well before use. Suitable for application by brush, roller or spray. For spray application, or the first coat on porous surfaces, thin with up to 1 part water to 5 parts Johnstone’s Stopmould. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 5˚C.
