Johnstones Trade Agricultural Oxide is a solvent-borne protective finish formulated for interior and exterior use, for general usage on metal substrates, metal agricultural buildings and structural steel.
Johnstones Agricultural Oxide provides a semi gloss finish with excellent opacity with good weather resistance, making it particularly suitable for the long term protection of metal agricultural buildings and structural steel. Ideal for farm animal sheds, farm buildings and more. Johnstones Agricultural Oxide has excellent covering power and good weather resistance.
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. When painting iron and steel remove all millscale and rust. Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstones specialist primer. Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Stir well. Easy to apply by brush or roller. If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use.
