Johnstone’s Covaplus Vinyl Matt Emulsion is formulated for interior use on walls and ceilings. It provides a durable finish that is resistant to fading and a longer wet edge time to help reduce flashing and patchy finishes on surfaces.
Covaplus Vinyl Matt Emulsion paint is suitable for general use in London Underground premises, stations (surface and below ground) and depots, particularly for staff accommodation. Suitable for interior use on walls and ceilings and on a wide range of substrates including wood, metal, plaster, concrete, cement rendering, brickwork and blockwork internally.
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone’s Primer. Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces over wood and metal, as they may contain harmful lead.
Stir well. Easy to apply by brush or roller. Also suitable for application by spray. Seal absorbent surfaces with a coat of Covaplus Vinyl Matt Emulsion thinned up to 10% with clean water. If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use. Do not apply in temperatures below 10˚C.
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly. Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
