Jotamastic 87 WG is a two component polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating. It is a surface tolerant, high solids, high build product. It provides long lasting protection in environments with high corrosivity. Jotamastic 87 WG is a part of a complete system which is Spread Of Flame certified. This product can be used as a primer over single pack paint systems prior to applying a two-pack topcoat. Jotamastic 87 WG gives excellent corrosion protection against salt and fresh corrosion.
Jotamastic 87 WG is suitable for use on steel, where blast cleaning may not be possible, and on hydro-jetted surfaces which are still moist and where gloss and colour retention is of minor importance. Jotamastic 87 WG can be used as a single coat or, in combination with suitable primers and topcoats. Jotamastic 87 WG provides excellent protection against salt and fresh water. If the product is exposed to sunlight, chalking may occur.

Jotamastic 87 WG should be applied with an airless spray. Brush and roller application should be limited to small areas (or stripe coating). Roller application is not recommended for a first primer coat. See the application guide for more information. If applied at the correct film thickness to properly prepared steel, it is able to prevent corrosion for up to 15 years.
Jotamastic 87 WG is suitable for use on carbon and shop primed steel and coated surfaces and in atmospheric and immersed environments.
