Sherwin Williams L654 is best used as a tough hard wearing abrasion resistant functional coating for the protection of external steel work such as storage tanks, pylons, bridges etc., with good durability under industrial and coastal exposure conditions. Suitable for application in shop or on site.
Recommended application method via airless spray, conventional spray, brush or roller. Ensure surfaces to be coated are clean, dry and free from all surface contamination.
Suitable primers: Sherwin L489 Zinc Phosphate Primer or Sherwin M600 Quick Drying Zinc Phosphate Primer. Recommended thinner Sherwin Williams No 1. This material may be overcoated with a wide range of white spirit based undercoats and finishes. A slight colour difference can be anticipated between brush and spray applied areas and therefore mixed methods of application for the finishing coat are not recommended.
