Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting offers a quick and flexible solution to the repair of anti - skid surfacing. Ideal to gain slip resistance on disability ramps, footbridges, walkways, road calming and more.
Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting is offered as an all in one system for anti slip protection. Each preformed sheet has a pre-embedded aggregate coating and simply requires gas torch heating for successful adhesion. Individual sheets can be easily cut to meet specific patch requirements during the application process and alternatively, several sheets can be adjoined and heated together to cover large surface areas.
As a thermoplastic based preform product, this anti-skid system can be applied and the substrate returned to service within minutes. Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting are supplied as versatile preformed anti skid application utilised for quick and efficient reinstatement of high friction areas on asphalt surfaces. Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting are easily laid and provides the user with a quick, simple and effective installation.

All Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, petrol, waxes and loosely adhered materials prior to application of Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting. We recommend the use of Centrecoat Tack Coat primer to aid adhesion. For application you will require tack coat, a thermoplastic gas torch and a stiff bristled brush.
Sweep surface with stiff bristled brush ensuring surface is free from dust, dirt, etc. Moisture should be removed from the surface by holding the gas torch 4 – 6 inches above the surface, and starting at one end steadily move the flame from side to side over the area. Apply the Tack Coat to the surface and leave to dry.
Cut Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting to preferred length with a sharp knife. Cut on under side smooth surface for easy cutting. Place sheet in required position before starting to apply heat.
Hold the gas torch 4 – 6 inches above Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting. Starting at one end while constantly moving the flame, move in a side to side motion to gradually heat up the material. Centrecoat Thermoplastic Anti Slip Sheeting will start bubble and melt to bond permanently with the surface. It is recommended to slightly over-torch the material to ensure it is correctly heated, but care should be taken to avoid severe overheating. Over burning may discolour the
surface. Any discoloured spots will wear away after trafficking. The sheets can be trafficked after 10 minutes. For high ambient temperatures the time to trafficking may be extended.

It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
