Coo-Var have been producing decretive and protective coating dating back for over 100 years, their first coating were formulated for painting wooden fishing boats for the fishing fleets on the east coat of England. Wood must be suitable primed to coat the fibers in the timber to protect them and give a sound surface for a topcoat be it a coloured paint or a varnish. Coo-Var have developed their P224 Penetrating Wood Primer developed for use indoors or outside this wood primer will penetrate deeply into the surface of the timber be it planned or rough sawn. As a micro-porous primer it will allow any trapped moisture to dissipate preventing the wood from swelling or shrinking.

The Coo-Var W462 Acrylic Varnish is a water based low VOC environmentally friendly single component coating that is not only easy to apply but fast drying also. Available in a gloss or eggshell finish it offers excellent coverage of up to 14m2 per litre per coat. This is ideal for use in the home on wooden floors where low odour is essential and a rapid return to service is essential.

For people that like a solvent based varnish for interior wooden floors or furniture the Coo-Var V606 Polyurethane Varnish based on white spirit offers a higher gloss level than the water based varnish but still offers a clear, tough finish in either gloss, eggshell or matt finish ideal for either oak, parquet or pine flooring around the home or office.
