Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer is a two pack, high build, aluminium epoxy maintenance primer that has been Highways Agency Approved. Once applied Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer forms a hard and tough coating. BBA Cert. no.08/H135-PS8.
Best Uses
Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer is a multi purpose coating that can be used for maintenance on objects such as ballast tanks, underwater hulls and new steel. Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer can also be used directly on cured zinc silicate.
Application
You can apply Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer using either a brush or airless spray. Make sure that the surface is cleaned but Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer has surface tolerance meaning that mechanical cleaning of the surface is acceptable.
Surface and Environment
Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer is perfect for marine use including on ballast tanks and underwater hulls. Hempel Hempadur Mastic 8588E Primer can be used on cured zinc as well as spray metallised surfaces to minimise popping.

- Cleaning solvent Hempel's thinner 08450 or tool cleaner 99610.
