Product Description

Jotun Penguard Express is a two component, fast drying, protective epoxy coating for steel, aluminium and concrete substrates which are exposed to atmospheric corrosion.

Part of the Network Rail/Railtrack RT98 System M20.

Jotun Penguard Express is a fast drying, high solids, high build product. Being a two component amine cured epoxy coating, it is designed for new construction where a fast drying product is essential. Penguard Express can be used as a primer, mid or finish coat and can be used as a single coat system in atmospheric environments.

Jotun Penguard Express is suitable for suitably prepared carbon steel, aluminium, concrete and galvanised steel substrates. It can be applied in sub zero temperatures.

Best Uses

Jotun Penguard Express is suitable for use on structural steel and piping which is exposed to environments with high levels of corrosive destruction. It is recommended for offshore environments refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings and mining equipment.

Can be used as primer, mid-coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, aluminium, concrete and galvanised steel substrates. It can be applied at sub zero surface temperatures.

Application

Recommended application is with an airless spray. A brush can be used for stripe coating and small areas. Follow application guide download for instructions.

  • Low Flame Spread in accordance with EU Directive for Marine Equipment. Approved in accordance with parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO 2010 FTP Code, or Parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO FTPC when in compliance with IMO 2010 FTP Code Ch. 8
