Product Description

Jotun Tankguard SF is a two component solvent free amine cured phenolic / novolac epoxy coating. A specially designed tank lining with very good chemical resistance.

Best Uses

Jotun Tankguard SF can be used as primer, mid coat or finish coat in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and concrete substrates. Designed as an internal lining for offshore, onshore and buried tanks and pipes such as chemical storage, waste water, grey water, process water, concrete bund, fire service lines and drilling mud tanks.

Application

For Carbon Steel prepare to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1). For Stainless Steel, abrasive blast cleaning to achieve a surface profile using approved non metallic abrasive media which is suitable to achieve a sharp and angular surface profile. For Galvanised Steel: Light brush blasting using non metallic abrasive leaving a clean, rough and even pattern. For Concrete: Dry abrasive blast cleaning to SSPCSP 13/NACE No. 6. for Coated Surfaces: Clean, dry and undamaged compatible coating (ISO 12944-4 6.1).

This product can be applied via airless spray. For stripe coating and small areas apply via brush or roller - see Data sheet.

When applicable, products primarily meant for use as primers or anti-fouling may have slight colour variations from batch to batch. Such products may fade and chalk when exposed to sunlight and weathering.
