Keim I.G. Primer is a nitro-collodium, colourless primer with good water vapour permeability used to obliterate staining.
Keim I.G. Primer is a colourless primer with good water vapour permeability used for obliterate stains. Keim I.G. Primer has been developed as a nitro-collodium primer particularly suitable for substrates that are contaminated with soot, nicotine and tar. Keim I.G. Primer is also suitable for consolidating friable substrates. This product is suitable for interior and exterior use.
Keim I.G. offers high water vapour permeability as well as consolidating the surface creating a sound strong surface. A Further benefit offered by this primer is that it is water repellent and is resistant to yellowing.
All loose, flaking and unstable material must be identified and then thoroughly removed, all surfaces must be thoroughly washed down with clean cold water to remove all surface dirt and dust. When all surfaces are clean, sound, wind dry, dust free and free from all surface contaminants apply Keim I.G. Primer by brush.
It is usually sufficient to apply only one coat of Keim I.G. Primer. For extremely strong contamination a second coat is recommended.

The manufacturers data sheets are available for download from this website. It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
Customer further agrees that Promain have no liability for any errors or omissions contained within the Product Data Sheets and are not liable for failure due to misapplication or inadequate substrate cleaning and preparation. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
