Lacq Decowax Interior Wax

Product Description Lacq Decowax cleans, protects and preserves interior wooden surfaces. Treatment with this wax will provide a beautiful shine and removes superficial spots and scratches. Decowax can be used to temper bright colours, apply an antique or grey patina or create a whitewash effect. In addition, the wax can be used to give untreated wood a colour or unique effect.

The Lacq Decowax metallic colours can be used to add exquisite sparkling effects to a wooden surface.

Application

Lacq Decowax will only adhere to a porous substrate, such as untreated wood or a porous paint layer, such as chalk paint. Before applying Decowax, any smooth layers of lacquer should be removed. Apply Decowax using a brush, sponge or lint-free cloth. Use a brush for carved wood or relief surfaces. Spread the wax evenly across the surface. After 15 -30 minutes wipe off the excess wax with a cloth, so that only a thin, even layer remains. This allows the wax to soak into the substrate.

Allow the remaining wax to soak in and harden overnight. Then firmly polish the wax layer. By polishing it, the wax layer becomes smooth, strong and hard, and acquires a soft shine. The wax layer requires no further finishing. However, for future touch ups continue to maintain it with wax. The wax layer can easily be touched up, in its entirety or locally.
