PPG NovaGuard 4801 is a two component, glass flake reinforced novolac vinyl ester coating for new or old steel with excellent resistance to chemicals at high temperatures, many solvents and inorganic acids. Also suitable for immersion.
PPG NovaGuard 4801 is best suited as a chemical resistant tank lining. Suitable for application on to new and old steel, or for application onto concrete on top of a PPG NovaGuard 4701.

Steel should be blast cleaned to ISO Sa 2 1/2 at a blasting profile of 50-75 microns. For concrete it should be initially coated with a suitable primer that is dry and free from any contamination. Apply using an airless spray.
