PPG Sigma AquaCover 20 is a single component, zinc phosphate primer/coating which is based on acrylic dispersion. It is particularly suitable when solvents are not permitted due to health and safety reasons. Sigma AquaCover 20 provides good anti-corrosive properties, is fast-drying and can be over-coated with a range of waterborne acrylics, solvent bourne coatings and alkyd paints.
PPG Sigma AquaCover 20 provides excellent adhesion to pre-treated steel surfaces, providing anti-corrosive protection and fast drying properties.
PPG Sigma AquaCover 20 should be stirred well before use. It can be applied using by spray, long haired brush or polyether roller with rounded edges. Sigma AquaCover 20 has a fast drying time (30 minutes to touch and ready for an overcoat after 4 hours). Sigma AquaCover 20 has a theoretical coverage rate of 5.7 square metres per litre and is available in a selection of shades.
PPG Sigma AquaCover 20 is designed for use in industrial or construction exposures and for use on structural and pre-treated steel. It provides a protective coating that works at preventing the corrosion that can weaken the substrate.
