Best Uses

Rustoleum Dac-Hydro-Plus is a water-based low odour paint which offers excellent resistance against weathering on roof tiles, the product provides a particularly aesthetic and durable decorative finish which is breathable meaning it allows water out but not in. Dac Hydro Plus is also flexible with excellent adhesion to most mineral substrates. This Roof Tile Paint is easy to apply and has excellent gloss retention meaning it will not fade or lose it sheen over time with exposure to the elements and UV rays.

Application

After a good cleaning with pure water under high pressure (200 bars), all substrates have to be dry, clean, not chalking and normally absorbent (untreated roof tiles). Apply an anti-fungicidal solution such as Rust-Oleum AMW Fungicidal Wash for removal of moss, etc.

Recommended primers for substrate:

• Concrete: no primer required
• Eternit/fibre cement: use Dac Hydro Pro
• Slate tiles: Rust-Oleum Primer 44HS or Rust-Oleum Pegafix
• Terracotta tiles, concrete tiles type Redland, fully weathered and/or very porous: Primer 44HS
• Very dense substrates: Rust-Oleum Noxyde diluted with 25% volume water

It is recommended to always perform an adhesion test.

To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use.

Apply via brush, roller or airless spray. For airless spray, dilute with maximum 3% volume of water. Nozzle: 009 - 013 / Pressure: 140 – 180 bars.

Rustoleum Dac Hydro Plus has been designed for use on concrete, clay and Natural Slate Roof Tiles. Best used on cleaned old weathered tiles to make them look brand new without replacing them.
