Selemix 7-413 2 Pack Epoxy Primer

Selemix 7-413 Epoxy Primer is a 2 pack high build primer which can be applied wet on wet. Ideal for protecting ferrous steel substrates from the elements.

Please note, the Hardener is not included with this product. Compatible Hardeners are Selemix Direct 9-010 Hardener or Selemix 9-011 Hardener.

Selemix 7-413 is a high build 2 pack epoxy primer that can be applied wet on wet meaning time is saved on application reducing labour costs and downtime. When used with an applicable Selemix topcoat and correct surface preparation this primer can be used as part of a system that will provide protection for substrates in harsh environments up to C5-M Low rated.

Selemix 7-413 is formulated for application on to bare steel, galvanised steel, phosphate steel, light alloys, stainless steel, previously coated steel, GRP fibre glass reinforced polyester, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, harvesters, machine tools, breakers, drill presses, lathes, milling machines, plant equipment, excavators, dumpers, earth movers, screed pumps, light industrial equipment, electrical cabinets, welfare cabins, airport ground support equipment, steel structures plus many more.

Best Uses

Selemix 7-413 is best used as part of a Selemix paint system as a priming coat to provide a high level of protection. Selemix 7-413 is perfect for use on bare steel, galvanised steel, phosphate steel, stainless steel, glass fibre reinforced polyester, agricultural equipment, tractors, harvesters, trailer, ploughs, plant equipment, excavators, dumpers, screed pumps, access equipment, good hosts, machine tools, drill presses, lathes, guillotines, milling machines, steel structures, trucks, cars, bicycle frames, steel doors, roller shutter doors, garage doors plus many more.

Suitable for ISO12944 C3M environments.

Application

The substrate will need to be suitably abraded and degreased in preparation of painting. Selemix 7-413 can be applied by both airless and conventional spray equipment. For best result it is recommended that 2 coats are applied. Selemix 7-413 can be applied wet on wet, a minimum of 2 hours at 20°C is all that is need be allowed between coats.

Selemix 7-413 is a 2 pack paint meaning it will need to be combined will Selemix Hardeners 9-010 or 9-011 at a general ratio of 4 to 1. 

Selemix 7-413 will then need to be thinned will Selemix Thinners 1-410 or 1-400 prior to application, always consult the technical data sheet prior to use for applicable mix ratio.

When applied at a 50 micron dry film thickness the Selemix 7-413 has a coverage rate of 6.5-7m2 per litre.
