Product Description

Teamac Protector II Antifouling C259 is an ablative anti fouling paint that has been formulated for boats with a maximum speed of 25-30 knots.

Teamac Protector II Antifouling C259 is a cruise grade, ablative, anti fouling paint that slots in the middle of the Teamac range and is highly suited to vessels with a maximum speed of 25-30 knots.

Best Uses

Teamac Protector II Antifouling C259 can be applied to most common vessels found domestically and commercially and works to protect the underwater areas from fouling caused by weed and barnacles. Teamac Protector II Antifouling C259 can also be applied to underwater structures to do the same job.

Teamac Protector II Antifouling is used as an antifouling for the underwater areas of vessels or underwater structures. Suitable for domestic and commercial vessels with steel, wood, ferro concrete or GRP hulls. Do not use on aluminium vessels.

Application

DO NOT USE ON ALUMINIUM VESSELS. Bare Surfaces: On exposed metal and wood, prime first with at least 2 coats of Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer (but not more than 3). On GRP lightly abrade exposed surfaces and apply 2 coats of Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer.

For New Steel: Abrasive blast clean to Sa2½ and apply Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer. If applying onto shop-primed steel ensure that surface is dry and clean, and areas of damaged primer are suitably cleaned prior to the application of the Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer.

For Maintenance: Remove all loose and damaged existing coating and all marine growth. High pressure wash with fresh water. Areas of breakdown should be blasted or power tool cleaned. Touch up with Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer to the full existing film thickness. Prior to the application of the full coat
ensure that surface is clean and free of all contaminates.

Mix well before use. As dictated by normal good painting practice. Care must be taken during application that the temperature is above the dew point to avoid any
contamination. It may be necessary to apply Teamac Protector II Anti-Fouling in a number of coats to achieve the specified film thickness. Always apply at least 2 coats of Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer.

Surface and Environment

Teamac Protector II Antifouling C259 can be applied to all vessels with a max speed of up to 30 knots and offers a slick, smooth coating that can be applied to the hulls of vessels made out of wood, steel, ferro concrete or GRP and has been designed specifically for use in the marine environment.
