PPG Amercoat 71 TC is a two component polyamide-cured epoxy tiecoat for a wide range of topcoats for immersion and non-immersion service.
PPG Amercoat 71 TC forms a durable coating system with a wide range of topcoats for immersion and non-immersion services. Provides excellent adhesion to steel, shop primer, galvanised steel and non ferrous metals. Suitable as a tiecoat over PPG Dimetcote.
If applying onto steel, blast clean to ISO 2 1/2 or SSPC-SP-10, blasting profile 25 - 50 microns. Previous suitable coat must be dry and free from contamination. Apply primer as soon as possible after preparation. Galvanised steel must be free from grease, salts and any contamination. Recommended thinner 91-83.
