Product Description
Johnstone's Trade Quick Dry Zinc Phosphate Primer is a versatile quick drying, single pack anti-corrosive primer for steel. Suitable for use under a wide variety of conventional finishes, combining excellent adhesion and ease of application.
Best Uses
Johnstone's Trade Quick Dry Zinc Phosphate Primer is suitable as an anti-corrosive primer for ferrous metals and all suitably prepared non-ferrous substrates. This product is an ideal primer for overcoating with Johnstone’s Semi-Gloss Steel & Cladding Topcoat.
Application
To prepare Steel, blast clean to SIS-Sa 21/2 minimum or mechanically prepared to SIS-St 3 minimum. Previous suitable coats should be clean, dry and abraded if necessary. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Stir thoroughly before use. Easy to apply by brush.
