The Traditional Paint Company Oil Based Eggshell has been blended to offer an old fashioned style finish. Highly suited for application to woodwork and suitably primed metal substrates as well as being ideal for application over most existing gloss surfaces. In this case a small test patch should first be applied to test adherence, and compatibility.

Best Uses

Oil Based Eggshell can be applied to a number of different surfaces such as interior and exterior woodwork, for example door frames and coving. It can also be used to paint radiators, cupboards and furniture. This product offers an extremely long life expectancy of approximately 30-40 years, saving you time and money when it comes to redecorating.

This extremely durable, environmentally friendly product is UV stable. Unlike a lot of conventional paints, it will not discolour or fade over time. Once completely dry, you can clean the surface easily and it will not delaminate.

Application

Oil Based Eggshell has extremely good adhesion properties. We recommend 3 coats for the best performance. This paint has a theoretical coverage rate of 6-8m2 per litre, per coat.

Oil Based Eggshell, is a high performance, high opacity paint. It contains natural iron oxide and is ideal for application to most common surfaces found around the house. We do not recommend use of this product in bathrooms or kitchens. This is due to the moisture level in these rooms being usually high. However, this product can be used to paint radiators, cupboards and furniture for an elegant finish. Available in a selection of different colours.
