Owl Roof 100% Silicone Roof Coating is suitable for use on existing smooth roof substrates such as BUR, granulated cap sheet, well-adhered acrylic coating, concrete, metal, sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam and various single-ply membrane roofing. Also suitable for use on weathered felt, metal gutters and valleys, PVC, Hypalon, SPF, granulated cap sheet, TPO and torch-down felt.
This system is ideal for felt roof repair and renovation of camper vans, extensions, garages, mobile homes, caravans, shed roof repair, roof flashings and canopies.
This Owl Roof 100% Silicone Roof Coating system provides long-term protection against weathering, ageing, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain and snow, the effects of ozone, ultraviolet radiation and the temperature extremes typically found on roofs. With its high solids content and absence of hydrocarbon solvents 100% Silicone Coating can be applied in excess of 40mm in a single coat without blistering, while maintaining maximum adhesion.
100% Silicone Coating is a dispersion of silicone rubber. This coating is a one-part, ready-to-use material that can be applied easily to a dry, frost-free surface, and cures at normal temperature and humidity in 1 to 4 hours by reacting with moisture in the air. For applications with lower than normal temperature and humidity levels, expect the cure time to be longer.
Surfaces to be coated with Owl Roof 100% Silicone Coating must be properly prepared. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of loose particles. The coating can be applied with standard airless spray equipment or applied by medium nap roller. For small touch-up work, a brush may be used.
