Johnstone's Trade Cleaner and Degreaser

Johnstone's Cleaner and Degreaser is an alkaline, non-caustic detergent based in water and designed as a degreasing pre-treatment for soiled and contaminated surfaces prior to painting with Johnstone's paints.

Best Uses

Johnstone's Cleaner and Degreaser is ideal for degreasing oily and soiled surfaces prior to application of a Johnstones topcoat. Suitable for ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, concrete, previously painted surfaces and much more. This cleaner and degreaser is biodegradable and non-caustic.

Application

Johnstone's Cleaner and Degreaser is suitable for application by stiff brush, pressure spray or cloth. For brushing/scrubbing: Dilute 1 part Cleaner & Degreaser with 50 parts warm water. If pressure spraying: Dilute 1 part Cleaner & Degreaser with 200 parts warm water. For best results, apply to substrate and scrub with a stiff brush until heavy contamination is removed.

Two or more applications may be necessary depending on the amount of contamination present. After scrubbing thoroughly, the surface should be rinsed with water to remove loose particles and all soluble materials. Allow to dry before priming.
