PPG SigmaCover 480 is a two component, chemical resistant product based on polyamide cured epoxy resins that can be purchased in either black, dark grey, light grey or white. SigmaCover 480 has a general purpose epoxy semi-gloss finish that offers good water resistance.

Best Uses

PPG SigmaCover 480 can be used over all previously epoxy painted coatings on a range of different surfaces, including wood, metal and concrete. SigmaCover 480 is highly resistant to chemical spillages, impact and abrasion making it ideal for use in industrial exposures. Once applied the surface is easy cleaned and all contaminants can be removed efficiently and effectively.


PPG SigmaCover 480 is easy to apply using brush, roller or airless spray and is touch dry after just 30 minutes, with ultra fast drying times, you will be able to apply a second coat after 8 hours. Once coat of 480 is enough to withstand 2-3 months of weathering before you apply a second coat, if necessary. SigmaCover 480 has a theoretical coverage rate of 10m2 per litre depending on the surface.
