Sika Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic is a one component coloured flexible anti-carbonation coating for concrete and cemtitious surfaces.

Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic is a top coat which is based on methacrylic resins and is resistant to weathering, alkalis and ageing. It is available in a good range of colour shades and is suitable for mineral substrates such as concrete and other cementitious surfaces.

Best Uses

Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic protects against atmospheric damage and enhances concrete and cementitious materials on buildings and infrastructures. It protects against ingress, provides moisture control and increases the restivity on exposed aggregate concrete.


Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic has quick drying properties which mean that it quickly provides a rain resistant coating. It is recommended that 50 percent of Sikagard® 680S Clear Glaze is added to the first coat of Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic when applying to very absorbent and/or porous substrates. This will strengthen the substrate and reduce the risk of a patchy appearance. Please contact the Promain Office for more guidance.

Surface and Environment

Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic provides a coloured matt finish which protects and/or refreshes exposed aggregate concrete. Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic delivers excellent weather resistant properties and is based on a methacrylic resin with fast evaporating solvents.

Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic protects concrete substrates against atmospheric attack caused by penetration from salts and gases. Sikagard® 680S Cosmetic also resists carbon dioxide attack and reduces the rate and depth of carbonation to the concrete or cement substrate.
