KEIM Contact Plus

Keim Contact Plus is a highly filled silicate based priming coat, used as a bonding bridge between sound, existing coatings and Keim Mineral Paints.

Best Uses

Keim Contact Plus is best used for application onto sound, previously painted surfaces in preparation for coating using Keim Mineral Paints and/or for filling hairline cracks up to 0.5mm in width and to equalise differences in substrate texture.

Keim Contact Plus can fill cracks (up to max. 0.5mm in width), equalises textures, is non film forming, UV resistant, non flammable and is breathable.

Application

All loose, flaking and unstable material must be identified and then thoroughly removed, all surfaces must be thoroughly washed down with clean cold water to remove all surface dirt and dust. When all surfaces are clean, sound, wind dry, dust free and free from all surface contaminants, decoration using Keim Mineral Paints may proceed.

Dilute Keim Contact Plus with Keim Granital Dilution 1lt per 10kg. Apply uniformly with brush or roller.

Keim Contact Plus must be over-coated with one or two coats of Keim Granital, Keim Royalan, Keim Soldalit or Keim Concretal W. With light colours apply only one opaque finishing coat undiluted. Darker colours may require two subsequent coats. Allow at least 12 hours drying time between individual coats.
