During the winter months, icy surfaces create a significant slip hazard. Injuries of this nature are unexpected, sudden and with unforeseen consequences. This means that a member of staff or the public may not be able to work for a long period of time. The solution is to apply or install a suitable anti-slip product, in order to prevent injury. You can determine the right product by understanding your environment, usage, aesthetics and access arrangements during installation.
The following options are available from Promain:
Promain’s Anti-Slip Paints
Anti-slip paints enable you to cover an entire surface with a textured paint coating. Available in a range of colours, we can also tint some products to your colour of choice. Some products have the texture added, ready for direct application. These include Rust-Oleum 7100NS. Most heavy duty epoxies such as PPG Sigmacover 2 NS require the aggregate to be broadcast over the wet paint. Otherwise, you apply a second coat of paint in order to ‘sandwich’ the particles in place.
