The last day of March normally signifies the end of the boating Winter Berthing Season. In the run up to that date the Promain Team are always prepared for the surge in orders and technical enquiries for Boat Maintenance products.
Cleaner
Part of the range offered by Promain includes the Boat Buddy Marine Surface Cleaner, a non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning agent which is rinsed off with water; once it has neutralised and absorbed any ingrained stains.
Or, Grunt the Best Boat Cleaner may be a preferred choice. It is applied with a paint brush, left for 30 minutes – again to neutralise and absorb stains – before being washed away with a sponge and water. A gentle product that does a sterling job.
Protection
Once cleaned, the matter of the protection of boat or yacht surfaces should be considered. Boat Buddy Marine Surface Protector is a high quality product that provides a protective coating against the chemical and atmospheric attack that is a by-product of a life on the ocean wave (or inland waterway).
An Anti-fouling paint may be another requirement. With the ability to prevent organisms such as barnacles, weed and slime, from sticking to the hull, the benefits include the reduction in drag, fuel costs, pollution and the avoidance of unnecessary damage to the hull, which may be the outcome of ignoring the benefits of prevention.
Bilge Maintenance

Depending on the surface of the vessel, you may be considering whether you need an oil or varnish. The Technical Team at Promain can advise and supply you with a wooden surface protection product. This will provide you with an aesthetically pleasing finish.
