It is an exciting time for everyone associated with Promain! We are set to feature in the upcoming second series of the Blaze TV show ‘Flipping Bangers’. Having spent time with Gus Gregory and the crew, the episode in which Promain features is due to be aired this May.
About The Show
For those not familiar with the show, it features the mechanical duo of Will Trickett and Gus Gregory who embark on fixing cars that have seen better days. Their aim is to double their money – in just one week! A tall order for most but as we saw in series one, these guys are not afraid of hard work, or getting their hands dirty. Having left their jobs, the pressure really is on to to get the cars fixed, running and sold quickly – all at a profit.
After a successful first series, the guys are back to do it all over again and asked Promain for help.
The Car
For this particular episode Will and Gus were working on the renovation of an old Suzuki.
The Paint
After discussions with our Technical Team it was decided that best product in this instance would be Rustoleum CombiColor. We provided this in a matt black finish which was expertly mixed by Tony from the Technical Team. The benefits of using CombiColor include:
- You can easily achieve a spray look finish with a paint brush
- CombiColor self levels
- You can apply direct to metal without the need for a primer
- It is both flexible and durable
Preparation Advice
Tony discussed preparation and application with Gus so that we could ensure they achieved the best finish. The 3 main paints in preparation are: to Clean, Abrade & Degrease thoroughly.
Following these instructions will leave the car with a brilliant finish. This will hopefully help Gus and Will to get the best sale price possible.
Promain to appear on Flipping Bangers: On TV!
We had a lot of fun working with Gus, Will and the team and can not wait to see the final outcome. We hope that they achieved their aim of doubling their money within 7 days and with the announcement of the new series we certainly won’t have long to wait!
