Bradford Court, is a large multi-storey housing block, which has recently undergone a flat roof refurbishment. The project used the Elastaseal waterproofing system.
The existing asphalt roof had been the source of several leaks. A number of flats on the top floor were out of use. The Housing Association could not rent these flats out due to the issue. This therefore resulted in a loss of revenue. The association were in need of a long term solution. Encapsulating the plant and equipment on the roof would then stem the leaks.

Promain made a complete site assessment and also did a free site survey. A detailed bespoke specification followed for the client. Elastaseal 15 was determined as the most suitable solution to resolve the existing problems.
Forming a seamless polyurethane membrane, Elastaseal bonds to virtually any roof substrate, providing unparalleled waterproof protection. Furthermore the system guarantees 10 to 25 years waterproof protection (depending on the level of specification).
The Elastaseal system combines high elasticity with excellent film strength. In summary, this means the system will move with the roof without splitting or shearing. It will provide a long-lasting and durable surface.
Unlike traditional roofing refurbishment methods that are reliant on flames and heat such as felt and bitumen, Elastaseal is applied cold, making it one of the safest refurbishment materials on the market.
