Mudeford Lifeboat Fun Day

Promain have donated a quantity of Teamac marine gloss to Mudeford Lifeboat Fun Day.

This extremely enjoyable is the day we all join together on the Quay to watch the Raft Race, see the Lifeboat and Helicopter services in action, and have a ‘Fun Day’ raising money to help keep our ‘very own’ Mudeford lifeboat station ‘afloat’.

This Fun Day is both significant and unique, in that ALL the money raised at this event goes directly to maintaining this lifeboat service at Mudeford. I’m sure many of you have watched the series ‘Seaside rescue’ on the TV. This is your chance to support our very own RNLI team saving lives, as this series highlights.

Mudeford Lifeboat Funday air display Last year, with the help of yourselves and all our generous sponsors, we managed to raise over £15,000 here on the Quay and a further £6,500 at our Late Summer Ball;

that’s over £21,000 towards the £60,000 it costs to run Mudeford Lifeboat Station for a year. The men and women who run our station are all volunteers and your support at the Fun Day is a fantastic way of showing your appreciation toward this great team who will be helping on the day by running the Barbeque, as well as going afloat in the lifeboat! Our previous chairwoman, Sally Derham Wilkes has stepped down this year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sally for the significant contributions she has made to the Mudeford Lifeboat fundraising committee for almost 2 decades! I can only strive to match her commitment and effort to a very worthwhile cause during my term leading the fundraising committee.
