Breathability of Keim Mineral Paints – Video

The crystalline nature of mineral paints means there are finite gaps between adjacent crystals, these ‘holes’ are large enough to allow the free passage of moisture vapour but small enough to prevent the passage of driven rain. Keim Mineral Paints are in excess of 96% breathable. This video shows a Keim Mineral Paint in one tube and a conventional acrylic coating in another, you can see that the high breathability of the Keim tube allows permeability through the coating.
