Keim Mineral Paints invented potassium silicate coatings in 1878 and still continue to produce high quality silicate based paint coatings from water glass and natural inorganic pigments for mineral surfaces such as concrete, masonry paint, fibre cement boards, stucco, renders brick and even previously painted mineral substrates. Keim's silicate paints form a chemical reaction with the substrate which results in a permanent micro-porous and highly breathable bond that is high permeable yet resistant to water.
Keim Mineral paints are extremely resistant to the weather and will help in protecting buildings against acid rain, carbonation from vehicles as well as industry, degradation from UV light making them extremely colour fast. Keim's paints being produced from natural mineral components are not only environmentally friendly but are also formulated from 100% sustainable green products. Over the past 130 years Keim have developed coatings such as Sol-Silicate a liquid mineral paint for interior applications offering an unmatched quality, Keim Ecosil ME and active photo-catalytic paint that benefits from being tried and tested and proven self cleaning paint suitable for commercial buildings, care homes, schools and public buildings.
In certain areas where extreme temperatures are an issue Keim Granital or Keim Solderlit are formulated to cope without any compromise. KEIM paints
KEIM paints are a mineral paint company with an excellent reputation for producing only the finest quality mineral-based paints. With over a century of providing long term protection to buildings, not only across Europe, but also across the globe, KEIM certainly have the right knowledge and backup required to accommodate and provide the right type of materials to protect your specific building. Some of the main properties of KEIM's mineral-based paints are high levels of breathability. This would allow moisture vapor to pass through the walls of the building, but will also prevent the ingress of wind-driven rain through that substrate due to its molecular structure and the way that it bonds and adheres itself to the substrate.
Some of the other features that their paint, in general, offer, is they are non-combustible and also provide a high level of light reflectivity, which again are excellent attributes to help with the spread of flame of any building, internally and externally, and also with the longevity and the long-term appearance of that building, combined with UV stability. All of these combined generally are for excellent long-term performance protection.
