Our epoxy floor paints, oils and varnishes are ideal for almost any horizontal surface you can think of, including concrete, asphalt, tarmac, timber, ceramic tiles, steel, alloys, resin screeds, existing paints, latex screeds and many more.

Epoxy Floor Paint

There is often some confusion between epoxy paint and epoxy coatings. Epoxy is a combination of epoxy resin and polyamide hardener. To create an epoxy coating, you are required to mix the two together before application to the floor surface. If the resin is not coloured then you will have a clear epoxy coating. If it is coloured (epoxy resin can come in a huge variety of colours), then you will achieve a coloured finish.

Epoxy coatings cure unlike epoxy paints that dry. The curing process is what gives the epoxy coating the hard-wearing, durable finish that seals the surface underneath i.e. concrete. The better quality epoxy coating you purchase, the longer lasting the coating will be.

When choosing an epoxy coating, be sure to review the percentage of solids within the coating. As an epoxy coating with 100% solids level will be a specific thickness when applied, and will remain that thickness once cured. However a 50% solids epoxy coating will be a particular thickness throughout application, but once cured will reduce down to half of the thickness. This may affect the choice you make, depending on the surface you are covering.

Epoxy floor paint for garages and cement floors

Epoxy floor paint for garage floors is a latex based acrylic paint. Before you apply any kind of paint or coating, it is vital that you prepare the flooring first, clearing of debit, and cleaning the surface. Once clean, epoxy floor paint will go on with ease and create a clean finish that will brighten up the space. The latex element of the product give the flooring a level of protection. Painting your garage floor can help protect against old and mildew. The paint is also water resistant and is easy to clean. It is moderately resistant to automotive fluids like anti-freeze. Some fluids may affect the finish such as fuel or break fluid.

Epoxy Resin Floor Paints & Coatings

Epoxy resin floor coating is a strong adhesive coating that can be applied to floors, walls and ceilings and can be used in commercial, industrial and domestic environments.

Epoxy resin is made up of a number of co-reagents (or hardeners), that proves the coating with strength and flexibility.

Epoxy Floor Sealer

Epoxy floor sealer is a layer of coating added to a flooring that adds a shine and level of durability. The sealer can be added to an epoxy paint or epoxy coating system. It is specially designed to create a high shine finish. However it is formulated with non-slip properties.
