Coating Systems for Network Rail are tested under accelerated conditions and independently certified to ensure a long-term anti-corrosive solution for important structures throughout the rail infrastructure.
The M24 maintenance system is available from major manufacturers such as PPG, Hempel, Jotun, Sherwin-Williams and International Paints. The M24 specification consists of a surface tolerant two pack aluminium primer, intermediate epoxy coating and finally a chemically hardened aliphatic polyurethane topcoat.
These products are available in a wide range of RAL or BS 4800 colours. This three-layer coating system ensures good coverage and an impermeable barrier against corrosion in the harshest of coastal environments. This is when applied to a properly prepared substrate.
Low temperature curing options are available therefore allowing all year-round maintenance projects to be carried out. These low temperature paint coatings can be applied during engineering hours.
