Product Description

Jotun Marathon 550 is a 2 pack surface tolerant coating that will cure down to 5C onto moist or submerged structural steel and piping. NORSOK approved.

Best Uses

Jotun Marathon 550 is a two component polyamine cured epoxy coating that provides high abrasion resistance. Suitable for environments with very high corrosivity, such as areas in the splash or tidal zone. Can be used as primer, mid coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments.

Jotun Marathon 550 has excellent resistance to cathodic disbonding. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium and concrete substrates. Suitable for structural steel and piping to be exposed to corrosive environments up to very high and immersed.

Recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel. Specially suited in areas where high mechanical strength is required, such as splash or tidal zones. Compatible with cathodic protection systems.

Application

Apply via airless spray as per data sheet. Follow data sheet instructions regarding substrate preparation. For more information contact our technical team for advice.
