Preparation
Before application of HAPAS Overbanding Tape remove dirt and debris from the joints and surrounding road surface using a stiff broom or brush. Ensure that the road surface is dry. If necessary use a gas torch to dry the cracks and surrounding area.
How To Apply Overbanding Tape
After preparing the surface by removing dirt and debris from the joints and surrounding road surface using a stiff broom or brush. Ensure the road surface is dry and, if necessary use a gas torch to dry the cracks and surrounding area. Apply Overbanding Tape by hand or application roller following the line of the joint. When the joint is covered cut off from the roll and press down thoroughly. The use of a wall paper roller may help the tape adhere. Remove the interleaving film from the tape.
Where abrupt changes in direction occur, cut the tape and start a new section, overlapping the end of the previous section by 50mm.
