Mapei

Mapei offer a hygiene coating in the form of Mapei Dursilite Plus. Durslite plus is a water based washable wall paint for internal use. It has been formulated with an anti-fungal additive to prevent the formation of mould on the surface. I can be applied to both new substrate such as gypsum plaster and even lime based renders It can also previously painted substrates providing the old paint work is well adhered and in a good condition . The general paint system for Durslite plus would be a 3 coat system consisting of 1 coat Durslite basecoat followed by a minimum of 2 top coat of Mapei Durslite Plus. This system will dry to a durable matt finish that will withstand cleaning and provide excellent resistance against germs and disease.

Mapei have developed a range of water proofing products for flat roofs. This range incudes product such as Mapeiplastic a Two-component flexible cementitious mortar which is ideal for waterproofing flat roofs, concrete, balconies, terraces, bathrooms, showers, wet rooms and even swimming pools. Mapeiplastic can be spray, brush or trowel applied and also reinforced with Mapenet 150 for crack-bridging properties. This mortar can also be coated with Mapei Elastocolor Waterproof paint. This is a flexible acrylic paint which can be used to coat substrate which are in permanent contact with water. Mapei elastocolor has a high resistance to chemicals and acid rain and when suitably colour has the ability to reduce the absorption of the suns uv rays thus reduce the overall temperature of the surface.
