Rustins G Shield Paint

Rustins G Shield Paint is a solvent free Electro Smog Shielding Paint, which provides high efficient electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction across a wide frequency range. The paint contains no metal particles and therefore has lasting corrosion resistance.

What is EMI?

EMI stands for 'Electromagnetic Interferance' and is caused by wireless communication systems which create electromagnetic radiation. EMI affects the operation of all electronic devices and can even cause the malfunction of highly specialised equipment such as sensitive medical devices, including MRI scanners, X-rays and CT scans for example.

Rustins G Shield is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It can be applied under all commonly used emulsion paints.

Application

The paint should be stirred well before use. Continue to stir until there is no sediment in the bottom of the can. Apply a uniform coating to the area using either a brush or a roller. Floor coverings can be laid directly on the shielding coverings. When applying large area shielding coatings, grounding with self-adhesive copper strips up to 1 inch wide is recommended.

The paint can be used as both an undercoat or an overcoat. If this is being used as an undercoat wait 24 hours before applying the top colour.
