Britannia Playground Paint
Britannia Playground Paint is a safe, water-based and eco-friendly product, which also has slip resistant properties and is ideal for use both indoors and outdoors.
Best Uses
Britannia Playground paint is ideal for brightening up children's play areas, both indoors and out. This bright playground floor paint can be applied to either tarmac or concrete playgrounds, or to hard surfaces where a degree of slip resistance is required.
- Water based
- Eco friendly coating
- Slip resistant
- Suitable for tarmac and concrete surfaces
Application
All surfaces to be painted should be thoroughly cleaned and power washed prior to application. Ensure the surface is dry and free from any loose, flaking material, dirt, grease or vegetative growth. Vacuum or pressure blasting with air or water may help to remove any debris.
New macadam surfaces should be left to oxidise for at least four weeks (longer in winter than in summer) before painting. New concrete should be allowed to mature for several months before coating.
Please note that Britannia Playground paint is not suitable for use on open graded macadam or other materials incorporating cut back bitumen.
The recommended application period is during March to October, and surfaces should be left to dry for approximately 2 - 4 hours before they are re-opened for use.
Maintenance
Do not apply salt or de-icer when surface is frozen.
Notes
- Britannia Playground Paint should not be applied if there is salt contamination or frost
- Not suitable for very heavy traffic areas
