Ronacrete RonaFloor Epoxy DPM is a two pack solvent free, liquid applied surface damp proof membrane designed to reduce the passage of water vapour. It allows epoxy resins and other moisture sensitive flooring to be applied to screeds and concrete
when substrate relative humidity is high, up to 97%.

Application

To achieve optimal adhesion it is essential that RonaFloor Epoxy DPM is applied to structurally sound, clean and touch dry substrates. Surfaces must be prepared after making good any defects in the floor, ensuring that friable materials are removed and replaced (for fast cure repairs refer to RonaFloor Repair 1 Hour data sheets). Substrates must be prepared by captive shot blasting or similar approved method to produce lightly textured, laitance free surfaces. Substrates must be cleaned to remove grease, oil and dirt. Substrates must be allowed to dry after washing. Substrates must be vacuum cleaned, to remove loose shot and other loose materials.

Apply the first coat of RonaFloor Epoxy DPM by short or medium nap lambswool or mohair roller at the stated coverage. Allow to cure for approximately 24 hours at 20°C. Within 24 hours of applying the first coat, roller apply the second coat of RonaFloor Epoxy DPM.

Apply RonaFloor coating or RonaFloor SL within 24 hours of applying the final coat of RonaFloor Epoxy DPM or broadcast 60 mesh kiln-dried sand into the wet resin to refusal, allow to cure, vacuum remove excess sand and protect the membrane until application of RonaFloor coating or RonaFloor SL.

When RonaFloor Epoxy Floor Mortar is to be applied, broadcast 0.8-1.7mm kiln-dried sand or similar to refusal into the wet resin, allow to cure, vacuum remove excess sand and protect the membrane until RonaFloor Epoxy Floor Mortar is to be applied.

When other flooring products are to be applied, broadcast kiln-dried sand (size appropriate to the thickness of the adhesive layer) to refusal into the wet resin, allow to cure, vacuum remove excess sand and protect the membrane until the flooring is to be applied.

Clean tools immediately with xylene based solvent or RonaDeck Low VOC Cleaner.
