Product Description

International Enviroline 405HTR is a thick film, high temperature resistant, reinforced lining, ideal for process vessels and storage tanks containing a variety of hydrocarbon cargos.

Best Uses

Enviroline 405HTR is best used to provide corrosion protection for the internals of steel storage tanks, pressure vessels, spools and pipes for a range of products, including but not limited to:

  • Crude oil up to 150°C
  • Refined oil products (including unleaded petrol blends and solvents)
  • Produced water up to 150°C

Enviroline 405HTR is also suitable for use as an external coating for buried pipes.

Application

The recommended application method is Plural Component Airless Spray, however Airless spray is also suitable, as is application by Brush (in small areas only).

Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from contamination. Prior to application all surfaces should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504:2000. Where necessary, remove weld spatter and where required, smooth weld seams and sharp edges. Oil or grease should be removed in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.

Abrasive Blast Cleaning
Best performance will always be achieved when Enviroline 405HTR is applied to surfaces prepared by abrasive blast cleaning to Sa3 (ISO 8501-1:2007) or SSPC-SP5. Where Enviroline 405HTR is not to be used in high heat and/or aggressive service, preparation to Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007) or SSPC-SP10 may be acceptable. Contact our Technical Team for further information.

A sharp, angular surface profile of a minimum 75 microns (3 mils) is recommended.

Enviroline 405HTR must be applied before oxidation of the steel occurs. If oxidation does occur, the entire oxidised area should be re-blasted to the standard specified above. Any surface defects that are revealed by the blast cleaning process should be ground, filled or treated in the appropriate manner.

The preferred method of holding the blast standard is by dehumidification.

Features and Benefits

  • Thick film, polycyclamine cured, 100% volume solids, epoxy novolac lining with incorporated flake and fibre reinforcement
  • Resists high temperatures in continuous immersion for a wide range of chemicals including crude oil, hydrocarbon water mixtures up to 150°C
  • Rapid cure allows storage tanks and vessels to be returned to immersion service within 14 hours. Minimising process disruption and reducing overall installation costs
  • Spray applied as a single coat application minimises labour and eradicates intercoat adhesion issues
