Before the application of a paint coating or waterproofing product it is often necessary to carry out concrete repair as well as protection to the substrate. Again, Remmers has products for these applications.

Remmers are highly respected for their highly innovative Facade repair and protection products such asArte Mundit. This is a self-vulcanising cleaning paste for thorough, water free removal of dust, soot, nicotine residue and other soiling on interior walls, ceilings, floors, stucco, natural stone. Other surfaces such as marble, concrete, brick, render, gypsum sculptures, polished wood, synthetic materials, etc. can be cleaned usingRemmers Arte Mundit. This and products such asRemmers Clean Galena are used in conservation and restoration projects as they are suitable for the cleaning of external mineral surfaces such as limestone, concrete, stone, delicate statues and external stonework. A peel away mask type cleaner ideal for the reduction of heavy metals, in particular lead, encrusted dirt and removal of stains caused by iron or copper compounds.

There are more than 80 specialists in Remmers research and development departments working on innovative environmentally-friendly resource-saving product systems for the protection and preservation of structural components and buildings.

Remmers has already implemented innovative ideas in successful products in many funding projects. One excellent example here is the model project ‘Protection of stone surfaces by applying elastic silicic acid ester’ (Federal Foundation for the Environment (DBU), Osnabrück, AZ 09445).
